We are actively seeking a Technical Program Manager to join Procore’s Data, Technology & Cyber Security team (DTS). This is a unique role where you will be instrumental in driving the enablement of GTM (Go-to-Market) and Revenue intelligence through the application of data science, AI/ML, and predictive analytics. Collaboration with architects, engineering, product, design, and business leaders will be crucial in ensuring the successful execution of strategic programs. A deep understanding of software architecture and design principles is essential for this role.

As our Technical Program Manager, you will take the lead in defining, driving and executing on top initiatives, collaborating with Product, GTM, Business Operations and Technology teams to translate business requirements into tangible short and long-term deliverables. Navigating through ambiguity, you will work closely with senior executives to align on priorities, manage competing demands, and make tough decisions to ensure measurable, value-based outcomes to our Stakeholders and company. You will be entrusted with the strategic oversight of large-scale programs. Your responsibilities will include defining objectives, establishing stage gates, outlining critical delivery paths, and identifying key deliverables. You'll be managing multiple interdependent projects, each with its unique timelines and resource constraints. Your acumen in problem-solving and decision-making will be crucial in navigating through potential challenges and setbacks. This role is based out of our Austin, Texas office, reports into the Director of DTS Portfolio Management and offers flexibility to work remotely as schedule permits.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Shaping the Technical Program Management operating model, rhythms and framework within the DTS Organization, alongside the Director of Portfolio Management and Product Leaders.

  • Delivering aggregate program and portfolio reporting in the form of roadmaps, value releases and, strategic alignment, resource allocations and constraints across multiple toolsets

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders, align on roles and responsibilities, and establish and maintain program cadences

  • Taking ownership of end-to-end technical program management, driving short and long-term technical deliverables and business outcomes while managing dependencies for assigned initiatives

  • Collaborating closely with Data Science, Analytics, Engineering and GTM Technology Product Teams to establish program goals, milestones, dependencies, and ownership

  • Leading and overseeing all program activities, including design, risk mitigation, and change control processes

  • Managing the execution of a Core Solution program that impacts the company’s highest-visibility initiatives from initial requirements definition to design, implementation, and rollout

  • Leading prioritization and trade-offs for TechDebt and business initiatives to meet schedule and performance objectives

  • Supporting the continuous improvement of productization across our technology teams, driving measurable quality, predictability, and efficiency enhancements across the enterprise

  • Serving as a vital communications hub for teams, representing executive leadership in Program, Product & Portfolio Management meetings.

What we're seeking in you:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or related technical discipline. 

  • 8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in software delivery managing aggressive schedules and significant business impact. Deep understanding of Jira is a plus.

  • Experience in system/platform design concepts, architecture, UX design, services, APIs, and technologies.

  • Experience driving a clear path to complex, technical, data-driven solutions for Revenue Operations intelligence, analytics & GTM Insights.

  • Strong organizational skills and a proven track record of collaborating among multiple project stakeholders, technical program managers, and engineering teams

  • Ability to gain trust, build strong relationships and collaborate with product managers to understand target personas and translate business process needs into user stories 

  • A robust understanding of the software and product development lifecycle

  • The ability estimate deliverables and timeframes for predictable short and long-term outcomes

  • Comfort and proficiency in presenting to senior leadership and business stakeholders

  • Proficiency in distilling complex technical information for various audiences

  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze and help teams break down programs into milestones and measurable outcomes

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a love for data and solving complex problems.

  • Agile experience and Certification(s) are a plus: AgilePgM, CSM, PSM, CAPM

Additional Information

Base Pay Range $158,680-$218,185. Eligible for Bonus Incentive Compensation. Eligible for Equity Compensation. Procore is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation, and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
