Group/Division
The Instruments Group is passionate about development of state-of-the-art inspection and metrology equipment used in production and research and development environments. Organization is globally located in US, China, and Singapore. We provide critical cost-effective solutions for power electronics, LED, communications, automotive, data storage, and other related nanoelectronics and materials science applications. We partner with our customers to provide state of the art hardware and software to improve yield and lower overall production costs by supplying world-leading inspection, metrology and review systems. In addition to developing valuable product solutions, the group provides support to customers to achieve performance entitlement through sharing and implementation of application BKMs (Best Known Methods).

We are growing! KLA's Instruments Group is focused on development of advanced inspection and metrology equipment used in high-volume production and research and development environments. We provide mission-critical, cost-effective solutions for power electronics, LED, communications, automotive, data storage, and other related nanoelectronics and materials science applications.

This specific position will be responsible for executing on the above PM team meta-goals, for programs being executed by our Ann Arbor based teams. This will include programs associated with our Candela, Auto Metrology, Profiler, and Nano Indenter technology groups.

Responsibilities for this exciting, challenging, and cross-functional role will include (but are not limited to):
  • Responsible for overseeing Instruments (AA) Technical Programs, ensuring continuous alignment with the strategy and goals of the organization.
  • Responsible for the overall execution of Instruments technical programs to plan.
  • Communicate program issues and decisions to stakeholders.
  • Build, coordinate, and maintain project plans and program collateral. Plan goals, milestones, feature interdependencies, project schedules and results.
  • Coordinate tasks, resources, collaborators, budgets, and any other project elements.
  • Collaborate effectively with teams spread globally - within KLA Instruments internally (Sales, Marketing, Engineering, etc.) and with greater KLA.
  • Run effective and efficient technical program meetings.
  • Resolve project conflicts, making trade-offs between competing requests and resources. Focus on removing impediments/obstacles to allow the project teams to focus on value-add activities.
  • Lead, inspire, motivate, and influence team members to achieve excellence in program execution to plan.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in technical field
  • Experience in cross-functional, technical project management - including programs involving collaboration between Engineering/Development, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service functional groups
  • Expertise with Program Management tools, MS Project is required
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Experience in cross-functional process creation, development, and release.
  • Validated ability to influence process partners and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Good customer leadership skills.

Preferred but not required:
  • MBA
  • Experience in M&A scoping, diligence, and integration
  • Good sense of humor!

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with +7 years' work experience, OR Master's degree with +5 years' work experience
