About the role:
A Technical Program Manager (TPM) will serve as the conductor for a cross-functional orchestration layer of product, legal and R&D Engineering members with the goal to meet global privacy regulatory expectations and security) in a prioritized manner. While this is a ‘privacy-first’ role, the TPM will lead projects for the underlying security for Altium's cloud solutions and corporate environment. This role will drive progress forward, facilitate decision-making, and help Altium succeed in meeting privacy obligations with minimal surprises and disruption to engineering. The right candidate will be intellectually curious and build familiarity and fluency for Altium’s cloud solutions, products as well as legal requirements in the areas of privacy, data protection, and security.
A day in the life of our Technical Program Manager:
- This is a highly visible role to focus on privacy data protection & information security engineering that requires strategic thinking, excellent stakeholder management, technical know-how, and operational excellence
- Day-to-day involves bringing different team members together (Product Engineering, Legal, Security, etc.) to structure and operate the company's program to meet prioritized privacy regulatory requirements, including understanding the existing and new regulations, impact on prioritization of efforts within the product ecosystem, or enhancements in Altium’s products, IT environment that could impact the ability to meet those requirements
- Lead the orchestration across cross-functional teams to hold team members accountable for timely completion of activities and aligning timelines where cross-functional dependencies exist
- Provide a rational point-of-view to ensure progress on priority work-streams, drive decision-making and a way forward in case of a stalemate
- Track, report, and communicate progress for multiple audiences including leadership from Product, Security, Legal, Business.
- Build a long term view on applicable privacy regulations and distill them into actionable programs for the company
Who We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, management consulting, business operations, program management, or other operational discipline
- Knowledge in information security and privacy
- Experience executing project or program management initiatives with technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to build trust and excellent verbal / written communication skills are essential
- Communication skills to translate complex technical topics into easy to understand concepts and deliver output
- Experience working directly with leadership as well as people at all levels, including executives
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Field or Law Degree
Preferred:
- Technical background and the ability to quickly understand information security control designs, challenges and risks.
- Experience with GDPR , CCPA, SOC 2, ISO, ITAR and other regulations.
- Foundational knowledge of cloud security
- Certifications such as CIPP/US, CISA or CISSP
The salary range for this role is $163,000.00 to $198,000.00. Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
