Technical Program Manager, Quality Systems

Redwood Materials is looking for a Technical Program Manager within the Quality Systems team to manage the development and implementation of quality systems, software and processes across the organization. This position will manage the program timeline, critical paths, and roadblocks to the successful development of software and systems including the Redwood Execution System (REX). This role will work collaboratively with technical experts, engineers, software developers, and cross-functional teams to turn system requirements into software execution. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Work with cross-functional teams to develop system requirements, software functionality and execution plans for the manufacturing execution system development.
• Track milestones, deliverables, and change requests.
• Define software/system requirements based on business process needs.
• Support the development, deployment, and improvement of critical software functionality.
• Develop deployment plans for systems including necessary documentation, approval and training.
• Identify improvement opportunities across teams and develop solutions to close the gap.
• Develop and define key metrics and data needs for system functionality and project execution.
• Work closely with technical experts to develop project deliverables, timelines, and execution strategies.
• Prioritize multiple projects across departments and systems to provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Regular communication with internal stakeholders on the program status and progress, and ability to recognize and highlight potential program risks to management for resolution.
• Identify and manage system interactions across other Redwood software including but not limited to: MES (manufacturing execution system), WMS (warehouse management system), CMMS (computerized maintenance management system), LIMS (laboratory information management system), QMS (quality management system), ERP (enterprise resource planning).

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant technical field.
• 5+ years of demonstrated project management, system/software development, or similar experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing execution systems (MES), warehouse management system (WMS), and other enterprise systems.
• Experience with software development and agile project management methodologies.
• Preferred: Experience with data queries and data visualization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to see the “big picture”.
• Ability to work in an ambiguous environment without predefined standards.
• Ability to execute with a calm and collaborative urgency.
