Technical Program Manager, XR

The opportunity

The Unity Extended Reality (XR) team is looking for a Technical Program Manager who will work with engineering teams to drive feature development and align with cross-functional partners. You will ensure the voices of quality, product, marketing, design, and other key contributors are heard and represented.

What you’ll be doing

• Act as a facilitator working across multiple development teams ensuring we are always in sync and collaborating. Using your initiative, intuition, and building on your previous experience, you will enable your teams to achieve the outcomes expected of them.
• Continuously iterate on software development processes and methodologies in partnership with team leadership to improve our velocity, collaboration, and visibility
• Foster an agile mentality through accommodating different needs for different teams, supporting our Atlassian admins, and improving and documenting existing Jira workflows
• Lead by example during meetings, providing clear agendas and timely follow through on action items
• Work closely with the your lead and other TPMs in your areas on tactical and strategic vision, help maintain team morale, and keep us aligned with our Unity values

What we’re looking for

• Experience in real-time 3D / game software production / project management, working cross functionally within an engineering organization, and identifying and managing dependencies in a matrixed organization.
• A knowledge of Agile methodology and a working understanding of Jira or other project management tools
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, both written and oral, to speak to a diverse audience; a willingness to listen, identify, and resolve differences among teammates
• Ability to gracefully navigate change within a team, working with established practices while also gently paving a path forward
• Demonstrate a proactive, curious mentality; be willing to ask questions, and to dig for your own answers as well
