Job Summary:

The Technical Project Coordinator is accountable for driving results in a fast-paced environment by facilitating the execution of sample testing associated with external Environmental Monitoring and Utilities which are created and executed through MODA-EM. The transient nature of these samples and the typical sample volumes requires significant coordination between the client and Alcami operations teams. This role will be client facing and will serve to provide a seamless experience for our customers while scaling our external Environmental Monitoring services. The role is also expected to develop new workflows that increase the efficiency of lab and business operations associated with this service offering. The Technical Project Coordinator must be detail-oriented and possess exceptional organizational skills with large quantities of data.

On-Site Expectations:

  • 100% on-site position.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes, co-leads and manages a project team of technical and scientific team members to deliver against contracted commitments and timelines for Alcami external Environmental Monitoring programs.
  • Assesses the scope of services included in the contract and creates a detailed timeline outlining actions, deliverables, and risks.
  • Identifies and requests resources, including technical and scientific resources required to execute the project from functional areas (i.e. environmental monitoring, chemistry, microbiology etc.).
  • Reviews the contract scope and project schedule with the project team to identify gaps, risks and additional proposed services that may be required to successfully execute the project.
  • Serves as the client liaison to compile, track and trend data and information and provide clear and concise communications for all attributes of testing.
  • Communicates to the Sales and Business Development Manager any required items that are out of scope and may require amendment to the contract.
  • Co-leads the project kick-off meeting with the customer introducing the team and presenting the scope, timeline, risks and proposed additional activities.
  • Co-leads project team activities and actions, monitoring progress against the established timelines and providing regular updates to the internal stakeholders and customers. Leverages own technical and scientific knowledge to recognize and manage activities at risk to exceed timeframes or scope of the contract.
  • Resolves conflict by providing proactive escalation of project or customer relationship issues to internal stakeholders and provides a proposed corrective course of action. Manages the response and action plan with the customer to resolve conflict.
  • Serves as a main point of contact for the customer for all project related activities and issues.
  • Ensures timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements.
  • Assist in receipt and log in of in-process samples.
  • Perform additional duties as required and assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS/BA in science related field with minimum of 4 years of related experience required.
  • Strong customer service focus and excellent customer contact skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently, along with ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Prior experience with LIMS, sample chain of custody, and report generation is required.
  • Proficient with reviewing and providing feedback for technical quotes.
  • Prior Project Management experience desired.

Travel Expectations:

  • Up to 5% travel required.
