THE POSITION
The Technical Project Leader (TPL) manages and drives a high performing team of engineers toward the successful design of complex products. The TPL will lead all the engineering disciplines (hardware, software, system and validation) and he/she will play a key role in the development of embedded solutions supporting the next generation of vehicles. The Technical Project Leader is responsible to plan, monitor and lead the execution of all the project technical aspects to meet the stakeholder's requirements (internal and external). The TPL is the main customer technical contact, and he/she represents the project R&D within the organization.

The TPL is overall responsible for the success of the project, he or she is responsible that the project meets the agreed R&D budget, scope, timing, and quality targets

Core Responsibilities• Lead the engineering team to deliver on time product releases according the maturity of the requirements of the project at each phase. • Plan and drive the engineering release activities: e.g. ensure proper SOR (start of release) and EOR (end of release) planning, execution and documentation.• In collaboration with the discipline leads assign work packages according to the release planning.• Be responsible for the successful completion of all engineering tasks. The TPL will monitor the progress of the project, report out to management and escalate when necessary.• Create, consolidate and monitor the overall project schedule for R&D disciplines making sure it is aligned to the customer expectation. Negotiate the scope of activities (if needed) to meet the overall project timeline. • Consolidates and monitors project budgets for R&D disciplines, including R&D cost and BOM cost.• Technical leadership towards resolution of complex issues affecting the projects, including but not limited to problem reports.• Drive and manage customer change requests and problem resolution.• Providing one face to customer and R&D leadership for all project technical content.• Support Quote activities• Ensure validation planning, test equipment release and test issues closure on time.• Supports PM for the technical part of the risk management.

Job Requirements

Candidates must possess a good technical base in either: • Circuit design, mechanics, validation, and optimization.• Embedded Software design, implementation and validation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.• 5-10 years of engineering product development experience.• Knowledge and understanding of engineering techniques, scientific theory and principles.• Proficient Engineering Principles (i.e. problem-solving techniques, worst case analysis, failure analysis, etc.).• Previous project leadership experience• Understanding of electrical/software/mechanical design process and techniques.• Electronic module manufacturing process.• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities.• Highly motivated and self-driven, ability to work with minimal supervision.• Demonstrated ability to lead individuals and teams without direct authority.• Willingness to travel (5-10%)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Master's Degree in Engineering.• 10+ years of engineering product development experience.• 10+ years of experience in automotive design.• Understanding of business financials (i.e. budget management, return on investment, etc.)• Good knowledge of Software development process• Working with a large distributed development team.• Experience with ASPICE• Experience with Cyber Security• Experience with Agile development methodology
