Job Description
As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for managing technical customer-facing projects, including new customer onboarding, and other installation processes. In these critical customer engagements, you will proactively work across Sales, Engineering, Customer Success, and Professional Services to provide the best initial customer onboarding experience possible. Our Technical Project Managers have to manage multiple projects at a time, so we value individuals who can keep things organized. You will also need to be a quick learner -- not every customer engagement will be scripted.
The ideal Technical Project Manager will not only build strong relationships and keep projects on track, but they also operate with a high level of technical proficiency. Working with customers and technical teams, you will contribute to a successful customer experience by setting up infrastructure, analyzing data, and responding to technical questions. During a customer implementation, you will actively consult with customers on how to properly extract, transform, and load their data into the Protenus platform. You will have an excellent ability to communicate technical solutions in a way that makes sense to both application users and system administrators.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple, concurrent projects of varying complexity ensuring high quality, on-time implementations
- Building the confidence of our customers by delivering professional presentations, consultations, and emails -- you will translate a lot of technical information into customer-facing language
- Contribute to establishment of practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature capabilities for the PMO organization
- Cultivate and build strong customer relationships throughout implementation, ensuring a high level of customer service/satisfaction
- Provide customers with ongoing consulting and general assistance in areas of expertise
- Be a “go-to” resource for specific implementation areas/domains for internal stakeholders
- Effectively set and manage client expectations with stakeholders at all levels with regards to project scope and timeline
- Configure/customize project management and workflow tools for maximum efficiency
- Proactively identify risks to schedule and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
- Perform data analysis and configure Protenus systems to perform with the highest degree of accuracy
Key Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a technical project management or relevant customer-facing/IT role. Ideally in healthcare or SaaS.
- Proven experience working with implementation, engineering, and/or development teams -- must be able to translate technical jargon for customers
- Hands-on experience using project management software
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and delivering results on time
- Proficiency operating from the command line (e.g. bash, zsh, powershell) to interact with files, data, and command-line tools
- Experience with applying information system security concepts such as single-sign-on, IP whitelisting, and multi-factor-authentication
