Technical Project Manager

This position is part of the TabaPay’s Product and Technology organizations; and the Project Manager will work across multiple business and technical units within TabaPay to drive overall project success. Comprehensive day-to-day management of multiple, cross-functional, global software development projects will be required. 

What We’re Looking For 

This position will work closely with Product Managers, Engineering & QA, Operations, Security, Implementation Management, as well as with all levels of management within the organization. 

A strong candidate will have experience with technology project management, cross-functional team collaboration, and managing through influence, as well as communications, business analysis, problem-solving, cross-team coordination, project/program management, processes, and change management. 

The ideal candidate is not just a facilitator or administrator, but is self-motivated, curious, and has a drive to get things done. 

What You’ll Do 

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Proactively take charge, get things done and operate effectively 
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, ensuring all tasks are defined clearly and tracked to completion 
• Proactively identify and work on resolving project risks and issues 
• Coordinate resources effectively including team members and other stakeholders to optimize project delivery 
• Drive process improvements and best practices adoption across the company, promoting efficiency and effectiveness  
• Encourage teamwork by promoting open communication, knowledge sharing and fostering accountability within the team 
• Become a subject matter expert in products and services this role supports, as well as becoming conversant with the high-level technology components that support those services 

Our approach diverges from the structures of Agile methodology. We’re seeking a candidate who demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to effectively navigate and contribute within our customized project management approach.  

Basic Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline 
• 3-5 years specialized experience in project or program management in a technology organization 
• Prior experience working in a software development startup or hypergrowth environment 
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification, such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) certification, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is required 
• Expertise in JIRA required; with an overall familiarity with project management and reporting tools 
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking 
• Excellent verbal and written communication 

  This position is onsite 1-2 days a week at our Mountain View, CA HQ.

The pay range for this position is $110,000-$125,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
