Technical Project Manager

As Technical Project Manager, you will oversee the deployment and integration of our Spot product as an industrial solution, and provide ongoing support to our industrial clients.

Boston Dynamics is a world leader in mobile robots, tackling some of the toughest robotics challenges. For years, our awe-inspiring viral videos on YouTube have shown the world what remarkably capable robots can do. Now we are quickly becoming a recognized leader in automation solutions for industrial applications and warehouse logistics.

Day to day activities:

• Run processes for standard installations, lightweight integrations, and proof of concept use case exploration in industrial applications
• Manage multiple project timelines with key partners, making sure there is adequate time for custom integration work and no resource conflicts
• Define and review client site acceptance criteria in collaboration with an internal technical lead
• Produce written reports of project progress for customers
• Communicate with the engineering team to make sure integration requirements are fully understood and within a reasonable scope
• Work with solution partners to define and deploy standard integration protocols
• Travel to customer sites to manage deployments; ensure requirements are met and understand customer integrations.

Desired skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline preferred
• Minimum 5 years of technical project management experience
• Proven experience successfully integrating complex products into a production process
• Thorough understanding of standard engineering practices in a production environment
• Functional technical background, enough to be conversant with the engineering team
• Familiarity with common corporate IT systems concepts
• Highly organized with experience in collaborative project management tools such as Asana
• Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders via written reports and presentations

Travel:

• Up to 50% travel, including international and on short notice when needed.
