Description

Sparksoft is seeking a Technical Project to join our team that supports the development and maintenance of enterprise portal. The position will assist the scrum teams in adopting modern development processes and techniques such as paired-programming and test-driven development to improve code quality. The person will also support our release and configuration management processes and procedures. We are seeking a strong self-motivated leader that can help us mature our processes and procedures, delivering more features and business value to our customer.
  • Foster an environment that embodies Agile development principles.
  • Lead the adoption of Test-Driven Development (TDD) or other processes and techniques that improves quality.
  • Perform release and configuration management activities.
  • Plan future release windows and cycles.
  • Verify all SDLC documentation is prepared and peer reviewed.
  • Review evidence that all code sniffs and security scans were performed, and findings addressed.
  • Ensure customer communication has been completed.
  • Review and approve roll-out plan and back-out procedure are documented and acceptable.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and client go/no-go reviews.
  • Prepare release reporting.
  • Review and manage configuration items
  • Maintain/enhance software and hardware version control processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Package and migrate software from the development environment through the life-cycle into production environment.
  • Track sprint progress against overall project objectives.
  • Maintain project and technical goals set forth by clients.
  • Manage and communicate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Work closely with the product owners and scrum teams to remain knowledgeable on status.
  • Anticipate any potential technical issues with development efforts and quickly respond with critical thinking.
  • Demonstrate skilled problem-solving capabilities to determine solutions and options to resolve problems.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT or related field.
  • 5+ years managing development teams working in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience implementing software using CI/CD methodologies using Jenkins.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience leading projects within a technical environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience leading projects in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with clients and delivery team members.
