Technical Project Manager

Hudson River Trading is hiring a Technical Project Manager for our small but growing Project Management team. You will impact how teams within HRT collaborate and work with each other to drive the company forward and help create the future of trading. 

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the prioritization, assignment, execution, quality, and visibility of work items for projects spanning HRT’s offices around the world. You will organize tasks and deliverables to help ensure the timely delivery of new post-trade and back office features crucial to HRT’s success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the prioritization and assignment of tasks for team members, ensuring established goals and milestones are being met
• Hold regular team meetings to track progress and remove impediments to the team’s ability to deliver
• Define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for specific projects or initiatives
• Build and deploy post-trade platform feature enhancements in support of a high volume/high value securities trading platform
• Develop post-trade systems integrating settlement, cash tracking, clearing, and treasury functions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in technical project management in the financial services industry
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong analytic capacity 
• Experience in the operationalization and/or development of scalable solutions and structure within a complex environment
• Demonstrated project/program management and support capabilities 
• Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
• Experience with project management tools including JIRA, Rally, or an equivalent
• Experience with Programming in one or more listed: Python, SQL, C++
• One of the following certifications or equivalents: Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Scrum Developer

Annual base salary range of $150,000 to $250,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. A sign-on and discretionary performance bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to company-paid medical and/or other benefits.
