Technical Project Manager
Job Description
This project manager will be responsible for a new product where the team will need to be set and as members are being added they will need to get onboarded
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Experience of setting up project from start and working with various team based on requirements
- Act as a hands-on Project Manager for at least 1-2 teams. This includes organizing and facilitating release and sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, sprint demos, retrospectives, story grooming sessions and any other Scrum related meetings, as well as updating and maintaining in Version One.
- Plan, manage and communicate releases, goals, schedules, dependencies, procedures and tasks
- Manage development activities performed on-site, vendor integration
- Mitigate issues and elevate to management as necessary
- Maintain and provide relevant metrics to show how the team is doing
- Coach and mentor the team as needed to reach their highest potential
- Creation of a roadmap and making sure of deliverables
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 4-5 years of solid experience in Project Management, preferably software development using latest tools and technologies
- Agile SCRUM and conventional project management experience required
- Experience with web applications
- Experience building new products
- Excellent facilitation skills
- Skilled with the following tools: Version One, MS Office
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management, goals setting and task prioritization abilities
- Must be able to work collaboratively with diverse groups and individuals
- Ability to garner trust from their team, other groups and business units
- Understanding of the basic fundamentals of iterative development
- Strong goal setting and task prioritization abilities
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency
- Excellent team player and team builder
