As a Technical Project Manager, who is a strategic project-management professional, you will oversee and manage client-facing projects for the Professional Services organization. As a self-starter and team player, you will have a strong talent for project coordination, stakeholder communication, process improvement, and delegation. The ideal candidate will have a sharp, analytical mind, superb communication skills, and proven ability to execute strategic initiatives in a scaling organization.

Key Objectives

Objective #1: Complete Decisions Project Management Training

  • Complete Decisions Technical Certification
  • Fully understand and be able to speak to the ABC's of Decisions professional services project management.
  • Understand the RTM and be able to manage to break it down into sprints.
  • Understand all ceremonies and expectations for all relevant agile ceremonies.

Objective #2: Plan, manage, and facilitate Decisions Professional Services delivery

  • Manage a cross-functional team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that projects are delivered successfully.
  • Work with team members to remove impediments to delivery, including but not limited to identifying then eliminating or mitigating risks to delivery.
  • Identify client needs and requirements that can be translated into discrete tasks and milestones, managing against contracted scope.
  • Chart and maintain a project plan, identifying and assigning project tasks and milestones to the project development team.
  • Plan appropriate client and internal communication methods, providing ongoing status updates, including health status, risks, schedule, staffing needs, etc.
  • Ensure quality control for all project deliverables and activities, working with architects and developers to coordinate internal review and refinement of requirements.
  • Oversee and effectively communicate project needs to Decisions and clients' senior leadership, ensuring alignment on expectations with delivery, timeline, and budget.

Objective #3: Collaborate with Customer Success, Product Engineering, IT Ops, and Professional Services management to inform on project health

  • Effectively communicate internal and external blockers related to clients' projects to relevant departments within Decisions
  • Ensure that Decisions internal PMIS reflects current project status and progression, including RTM, issues/risks, communication, and project health.

Requirements

Minimum requirements

  • Relevant Agile certifications (PSM, CSM, PSPO or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical project management experience
  • Demonstrated application of and proven success with different project management methodologies and frameworks, management tools, analysis, and research
  • Experience with creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiation, problem-solving, conflict resolution, managing resources in a matrix environment, communicating and influencing effectively at all organizational levels
  • Experience coaching project team members

Preferred requirements

  • Prior experience in the healthcare and/or financial services industries
  • At least 1 year of experience within an agile SDLC environment
  • Experience with PaaS/SaaS, cloud, and on-prem infrastructure
  • Experience with services-based contracts.
  • Project Management certification (PMP) a plus
