Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (Infrastructure) to join our growing team. In this role, you will play an essential role in driving the successful execution of our technical and IT projects. You will be the driving force behind planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

This position is a hybrid position with 4 days on-site and 1 day remote and will be a W-2 Hourly 9-12-month contract with possible extension. 

The hourly rate is $53/hr.– $55/hr. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance, professional development, trainings, our referral bonus program, and our wellness program.

Responsibilities: 

• Overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts.
• Establishing and implementing project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
• Assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts daily, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews; and escalating functional, quality, and timeline issues appropriately.
• Initiating and tracking communications among our customers. 
• Oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and power and cooling systems.
• Creating and tracking an end-to-end project plan (in conjunction with the scrum master and team leads).
• Lead change request generation and tracking.
• Identifying and managing critical paths and risk areas and creating risk response and mitigation plans.
• Communicating statuses on progress, risks, and issues.
• Working with management to maintain the project-specific budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience.
• 5 to 7 years of IT work experience, including 5 or more years managing projects with knowledge of Data Center Operations.
• Data Center Operations: In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems. Familiarity with data center best practices and industry standards.
• Experience with projects in multiple technologies and functions.
• Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.
• Preferred Enterprise systems or database administration background.
• Expertise in infrastructure concepts.
• Familiarity with data center compliance requirements, security protocols, and risk management practices.
