NOV Rig Technologies - Aftermarket is currently recruiting for a Technical Project Manager to join our team at 5100 N Sam Houston Pkwy W, the main responsibilities of this role include:

• Project management for NOV associated project work scopes.
• Follow standardized processes, policies and operational procedures from a global operations perspective.
• Responsible for all project planning activities including scope identification, creation of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Business Case.
• Issue and track purchase orders for parts and services for internal and 3rd party requirements.
• Maintain awareness of critical path activities affecting customer sensitive project deadlines; build contingency plans and implement recovery plans.
• Responsible for project close out including invoicing, handovers and after action reviews.
• Lead dialogue with software development team managers and specialists responsible for implementing and upgrading application software.
• Ensures proper integration of applications with external and internal software according to business requirements and information needs.
• Have responsibility for collection, translation and communication of all Programs business requirements to software development teams.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders responsible for New Product development and Corporate Engineering to establish best technology is being utilized by Program execution teams.
• Perform role of business analyst.
• Analyzing and evaluating the current business processes and identifying areas of improvement.
• Researching and reviewing up-to-date business processes and new IT advancements to make systems more modern.
• Presenting ideas and findings in meetings.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and project management experience.
• 5+ years within a project management role.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar preferred.
• Experience handling customers and internal stakeholders professionally throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Technical Requirements

• Strong understanding of PMI principals and methodology.
• Understanding of technical documentation packages/drawings.
• Fluent in MS Office products, specifically Project, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio.
• Topology design
• Ability to interpret business requirements and translate into actionable solutions.
• Stakeholder management, data modeling and knowledge of IT.
• Ability to analyze large amounts of data and other business processes to form ideas and fix problems.
• Ability to communicate ideas in an expressive way that is easy for the receiver to understand.
• Problem-solving, primary responsibility to come up with solutions to an organization's problems.
• Research skills, thorough research must be conducted about new processes and software to present results that are effective.
