Description
This role will be responsible for program management of Research, Development and Engineering programs within a metal deposition service BU application segment to support Applied Materials' customer install base in the semi-conductor industry. Engage cross-functionally to drive product vitality including all new service product development and continuous improvement aspects of the business working to exceed customer and business expectations. Metal deposition product (MDP) is a leadership product for Applied Materials
Responsibilities
- Responsible for program management of Research, Development and Engineering programs within a metal deposition service BU application segment.
- Leads programs to meet time, product performance and cost objectives continually optimizing business outcomes.
- Drives cross functional engagement within the program to support overall program on time delivery and success, partner with operation team for field readiness.
- Leads the product architectural development and refinement to deliver to customer and program objectives.
- Leads program management rigor including Gantt charts, risk assessments, design reviews etc.
- Leads inclusion of DFx principles within the development process
- Leads product configuration and develops service should cost model for BU new production introduction
- Leads sampling field quality design and processes, working closely with cross functional resources
- Collaborates with technology partners and supports new product related strategic sourcing needs partnering with strategic sourcing/supply chain for their respective program
- Builds strong cross-functional teams and engagement to deliver to program objectives
- Communicates program progress / execution to upper management and stakeholders
Desired Skills, Competencies, Experience & Education
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in Materials, Deposition, plasma, systems experience and domain expertise, including physical vapor depiction (PVD), chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and atomic layer deposition (ALD)
- Semiconductor applications and services experience required
- Master or Ph.D. in Science/Engineering materials related technical degree
- Extensive new product introduction experience with a performance-based track record
- Strong program management and product lifecycle management experience
- Customer focused - Voice of Customer (VOC) domain expertise and strong customer acumen
- Positive can-do hands-on entrepreneurial attitude that builds support for RD&E needs
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal presence that extends confidence and humility
- Ability to effectively manage and deliver to multiple Key Performance Indices (KPIs)
- Critical thinking and ability to influence and communicate effectively with multiple internal stakeholders (Sales, finance, marketing, strategy, management)

U.S. Salary Range:
$140,000.00 - $192,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
