Location: Greenwood Village, CO

CLP Engineering (CLPE) is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years’ experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers.

Summary/Objective:

This position will conduct research, technical and creative writing, data analyses and review in collaboration with CLPE engineering management, business development and executive leadership to develop quality proposals for funding, business development and project bids. This role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review, analyse and qualify request for proposal (RFP), request for information (RFI), request for qualification (RFQ) and other customer requests/inquiries and identify required contents for responses.
• Engage subject matter experts, engineers, executives, and other resources within CLPE to gather and articulate response contents.
• Put together compelling responses to RFP, RFI, RFQ or other customer requests by synthesizing previously developed, new, and/or tailored contents in a clear and concise manner.
• Translate complex technical information into clear readable documents with proper use of graphics, illustrations, and summaries to be used by targeted technical or non-technical audiences.
• Work independently to edit proposals/technical documents to ensure proper grammar, spelling, structure, layout, and formats for the response contents.
• Plan, develop, and manage effective proposal writing strategies, methods, tools, and reusable contents.
• Monitor proposal content to ensure compliance with RFP requirements, evaluation criteria, and technical requirements.
• Support development, refinement, and management of CLPE marketing tools such as sales presentations, experience highlights, project highlights, webpage contents, and other marketing materials.
• Maintain company-wide consistency for proposals, templates, corporate guidelines, and other standards.
• Stays abreast of industry standards and best practices. Innovate and improve CLPE approach to customer requests.
• Assist with the submittal for industry awards, local trade or national trade publications.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Technical Writing, Communications, English or related field.
• Three plus (3+) years’ experience with technical proposal writing for engineering services contract solicitations including federal government, utilities and commercial/industrial customers.
• Strong presentation, analytical, communication and customer service skills
• Advanced proficiency level with MS Office suite.
• Excellent research skills and the ability to write persuasively and articulately.
• High level of attention to detail and strong proofreading and editing skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
• Must be a Team Player with the ability to work with various partners from start to finish.

Travel:

• The ability and availability to travel, attend meetings and functions outside typical business hours may be required.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

You must be a US Citizen. Valid driver’s license required.

Benefits & Compensation:

• We offer an excellent benefits package that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401k with company contribution, paid time off and paid holidays.
• Salary range: $55,000 - $85,000/annual based on experience. We reserve the right to pay more or less than the posted salary range based on factors unrelated to sex.
