Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Technical Release Manager to join our team at one of the largest eCommerce platforms in the world. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and success of technical releases, working closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate and manage the software delivery lifecycle. What is this all about?

• Oversee and manage the full software quality assurance cycle, ensuring quality gates at every stage.
• Collaborate with development, product, operations, and QA teams to plan and coordinate the delivery of new features.
• Lead the QA Office and testing teams to impact positively in the testing and QA procedures following the goal of time optimization to increase the number of releases per year.
• Ensure all quality requirements, both functional and non-functional, are met before each release Go Live.
• Define and implement testing strategies to ensure the stability and performance of releases. Above all, with a strong focus on testing execution reduction.
• Identify, document, and track bottlenecks in testing activities, working with the relevant teams for resolution.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date testing processes and methodology documentation aligned with release management.
• Manage risks associated with product quality and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Continuously monitor and improve software delivery processes to increase efficiency and reduce release times.
• Lead, support and manage testing scopes under SQLI responsibility: functional testing, automated testing and performance testing.
• Define and implement KPI's linked with testing delivery and services under SQLI responsibility.
• Proactive people management with focus on coaching and career growth.
• Constantly seek out and assess new tools and technologies that could enhance the quality, speed, and optimize efforts and increase the number of releases per year.
• Bring industry trends such as generative AI and other emerging technologies that may offer benefits to the SQLI services.

Qualifications

Who are you?

• Bachelor’ Degree in computer science, software development or IT Engineering.
• High proficiency in English
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA, release management, or similar technical roles.
• Deep understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Proven ability to organize and coordinate large-scale teams (near and offshore).
• Experience with test automation, continuous integration, and project management tools (Jira, Xray, Azure, etc.).
• Familiarity with monitoring and performance testing tools (Load Runner, New Relic, Datadog, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in eCommerce or managing releases for large-scale platforms is a plus.
