As a Technical Recruiter you will be responsible for the end-to-end hiring process of our technical roles. You will play an important role in creating an exemplary candidate experience and providing support to our hiring teams.You will source and engage passive candidates through the use of social and professional networking platforms (i.e. LinkedIn, GitHub, AngelList, Handshake, etc.).
Our homegrown tech stack and the real-time, data-driven nature of our business create exciting opportunities for analysts and engineers. To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to learn the nuance of our technology and sell the unique opportunity to potential hires alongside our unique culture of transparency and collaboration.
This role will report into the President and work closely with the Director of Messaging and Community. This is a hybrid role, and candidates must be based in the Austin area with the ability to work from our local hub at least once per week.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate all aspects of technical hiring from phone screens to offer letters
- Internalize and sell the unique advantages of working within our home-grown tech stack on a real-time, data-driven business
- Act as a candidate advocate and maintain active communication with the hiring manager throughout the hiring process for technical roles
- Source suitable candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter and other channels
- Review and evaluate inbound candidate applications
- Build and maintain a network of potential candidates that have the potential to meet the company’s technical hiring needs
- Communicate professionally and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times both internally and externally with our candidates
- Assist with preparing and posting jobs and generating interview materials
- Ensure organized record keeping of confidential as well as general documentation
- Support other Talent Acquisition activities or projects, as needed, such as maintaining our ATS and supporting the hiring of non-technical positions.
Your skills and experience should include:
- 2-4 years of technical recruiting experience
- Ability to discuss complex technical subjects, including machine learning, computer engineering, and data analytics
- Must have a demonstrable track record of promptly filling highly technical roles
- Ability to sell open roles to a broad range of candidates, regardless of their experience level
- Experience developing and overseeing hiring processes that ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Experience in candidate sourcing using Linkedin Recruiter, search engines, deep-web Boolean searching, technical social networks, etc.
- Willingness to buy into a unique culture of goal setting, calibration, and reporting
- Ability to thrive in a team atmosphere, as well as autonomously
- Fastidious organization, impeccable attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Experience at a tech startup or growth-stage company is a plus
