Technical Rotational Leadership Development Program (RLDP)
Job Description
Our world is transforming, and PTC is leading the way. Our software brings the physical and digital worlds together, enabling companies to improve operations, create better products, and empower people in all aspects of their business.
Our people make all the difference in our success. Today, we are a global team of nearly 7,000 and our main objective is to create opportunities for our team members to explore, learn, and grow – all while seeing their ideas come to life and celebrating the differences that make us who we are and the work we do possible.
PTC’s two-year Boston-based rotational program builds agile future leaders by developing recent graduates with cross-organizational experience, high-impact opportunities, executive exposure, and leadership development. Program associates complete four six-month rotations designed to expose the associate to a variety of roles and functions while being fully embedded in the team. With each rotation, you will gain exclusive access to new skills, training, resources, and senior leadership. Through your rotations, you will not only gain foundational knowledge across various business functions to help you discover how a large organization functions and how you contribute to PTC’s success. Previous graduates of the program have landed roles in Technical Sales and Services, Technical Demo Development, Technical Content Development, and Cyber Security, just to name a few.
To be eligible, you must be available to interview on October 24, 2024.
In addition to your rotation managers, you will be teamed with a program manager who serves as a strategic coach and works with you to curate your program experience. As an RLDP Associate, you will receive performance reviews every six months, career guidance from the dedicated Program Manager, and participate in a 2-week onboarding with the rest of your RLDP cohort.
Technical Track rotations typically fall within these areas of the organization:
- Product Management
- Technical Pre-Sales
- Product Innovation
- Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO)
- Solutions Engineering
- Corporate Experience Center (CXC)
- UX/UI
- IT
- SaaS Transformation Implementation
- Product Demo Engineering
These are broad areas of the business where rotations typically sit; however, individual rotations vary based on interest, skills, and business needs.
Your day-to-day will vary based on your current rotation and interests. However, all RLDP associates are expected to:
- Participate in weekly cohort check-ins
- Build leadership skills through a structured learning program, executive speaker sessions, and monthly formal learning workshops
- Partner with the program manager to tailor your two-year experience
- Establish a personal brand and network to kick-start your career
- Influence improvements to the RLDP program by participating in program committees
- Support strategic initiatives and programs
- Source and lead 6-month rotational projects and present findings to executive stakeholders
Successful RLDP Associates will need the following skills and knowledge:
- Intellectual curiosity and the motivation to develop your career
- Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Willingness to try new things outside your comfort zone and thrive in ambiguity
- Adaptable and resilient attitude in an evolving environment
- Intern/Co-op experience preferred
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM area received after May 2024
- A Boston-based role, requiring in-person attendance potentially up to 4 days a week
- The expected salary for this role is $85,000 and is subject to change based on business approval.
At PTC, we believe in the power of diverse ideas and perspectives. As a global company that values and respects all identities, cultures, and perspectives, we strive to create an inclusive PTC for ALL through an environment where everyone feels like they belong and are empowered to bring their true, authentic selves to work. If you share our passion for problem-solving through innovation, you’ll likely become just as passionate about the PTC experience as we are. Are you ready to explore your next career move with us?
