Technical Sales Engineer
Job Description
The Role
Due to significant growth, we are now seeking an enthusiastic and driven individuals who can quickly progress into customer-facing business development positions in our US market. You must have some experience in the wind energy sector and be working in technical sales-related position currently. What you’ll do
• Support the process of scaling our products and services to wind farm owner/operators.
• Identify opportunities for these services more widely that are related to rotating machinery health monitoring, prognostics and operation and maintenance.
• Develop great relationships and identify in the account base opportunities for additional consulting services and field services sales.
• Support the consulting team with administration of the sale.
• Support the development and execution of sales plans including marketing events, sales campaigns and individual prospecting activities to identify new prospective customers and sales opportunities
• Travel to customer sites to conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations
• Provide consistent follow up on opportunities or inquiries.
• Effectively position the Company’s solutions to meet our customers’ technical and business needs while differentiating the Company’s offering from the competition.
• Support the quarterly sales forecasting and account planning process
About You
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical qualification
• Recent experience of technical sales support in the wind industry or similar related experience in B2B sales of technical engineering products and services and a track record of sales accomplishments.
• Great customer service skills and the technical credibility to communicate complex solutions simply and clearly.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
• Evidence of working effectively in a sales team environment.
• Experience in developing sales leads through great customer relationships and technical credibility
• Commercial and price negotiation skills, plus experience of preparing high quality proposal and tender submissions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce experience would be helpful.
