Job Description

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to respond to inbound leads, identify systems and strategies to qualify responses, improve our funnel, and grow the overall use of Cesium - particularly Cesium ion, our SaaS platform. In this role, we are looking for someone to sell Cesium and help us build a data-driven process to generate, respond to, and close inbound leads and identify growth opportunities within our SaaS platform. Cesium is unique because it's been used for years, has an existing community of free and paying users, and has significant inbound traffic (with untapped potential).

What you'll do:

  • Build authentic relationships with the Cesium community and potential new customers.
  • Create and deliver targeted collateral for inbound sales to effectively communicate and differentiate Cesium's product offerings across unique verticals and market segments.
  • Create, maintain, and close our pipeline of inbound leads based on set targets and company goals.
  • Help build data-driven sales processes and systems, including using our CRM to analyze and improve the success of inbound leads.
  • Collaborate with Cesium teammates across business development, ecosystems, and communications to bring value to the Cesium community.
  • Provide input to Cesium’s business strategy, product segmentation, pricing, workflows, and sales tools.
  • Contribute to Cesium’s revenue growth.


What we're looking for:

  • Consistently managed an inbound sales funnel with tens of thousands of leads and thousands of paid subscribers.
  • Passion for 3D and/or geospatial - simulation, architecture, construction, or anything related.
  • 8+ years experience in business development, sales, sales engineering, or related.
  • You are credible to technology executives. You may have written code sometime in your career. Most leaders of our potential partners and customers have an engineering background.
  • You have a sales background and experience selling technical or geospatial products.
  • A great communicator who can pitch, identify how to excite and persuade potential clients, and sell the art of what's possible with Cesium and 3D geospatial data.
