Technical Sales Representative
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Technical Sales Representative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for sales, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients, identify their needs, and offer our products and services as solutions. This individual will be responsible for generating new business, maintaining existing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and understand our products, services, and technical specifications to effectively communicate their value to potential and existing clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching and targeting potential customers within specific industries or market segments.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, industry influencers, and strategic partners.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations, highlighting our products and services' unique
selling points and benefits. - Provide technical support and consultation to customers, addressing their questions and concerns regarding product
features, functionality, and compatibility. - Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineering, product development, and customer support, to ensure a
seamless customer experience and ongoing product improvement. - Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to expand your network, promote our products,
and stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor offerings. - Monitor and report on sales activities, forecasts, and progress toward sales targets, utilizing our CRM system and
other sales management tools. - Continuously develop and refine your sales techniques and product knowledge through training, workshops, and self-
directed learning.
Requirements
- Travel will be required, up to 50-70% of the year. Remote work available with schedule.
- Proven experience in technical, mechanical, and industrial sales, business development, or a similar role within the technology industry.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical audience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other sales and productivity tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and other events.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in selling mechanical and industrial equipment
- Established network of contacts within the printing and graphic arts industry
- Familiarity with the printing and graphic arts industries
