Position Location: This is a remotely based, high traveling position. Our preference is for the Technical Sales Representative to be centrally based near a major US metro airport, ideal locations would be: Minneapolis, MN; Milwaukee, WI; St Louis, MO; Indianapolis, IN; St Louis, MO Chicago, IL

Job Summary:

The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for the development of the CAMUS Product Line and Services for North American markets in Canada and the USA. Supported by the National Sales Manager and CAMUS Sales team, the primary focus for this new position will be to promote and support current and future projects with our Sales Representatives, Consulting Engineers, Mechanical and HVAC Partners. The representative will be required to visit and present best in class support to all Partner Firms within the scope of specific projects and future tender specification requirements. This role will require extensive travel within Canada and the USA (approximately 75 % of your time will be travel) and may extend to International territorial responsibilities on an as needed basis.

Education: Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering (preferred)

Specialization in Building Mechanics (or equivalent in experience)

Sales Training

Experience: 5 years of pertinent sales experience

1 to 3 years of experience in HVAC systems in an industrial/institutional environment

or equivalence in sales of product and services in the mechanical construction field

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and promote Sales of CAMUS products within our Representative Channels
  • Identify key players at both the Contractor & Engineering levels and provide Sales and technical support to specify Camus products for replacement and new build markets.
  • Business development of new projects (prospect in various construction journals, websites, electronic plans room and public tender sites).
  • Conduct technical seminars at Engineering firms to get product specified (lunch & learn).
  • Coordinate the preparation of quotes with National Sales Manager and Camus Sales team.
  • Perform quote follow-ups and negotiate contracts to conclude the sale.
  • Travel to job sites to support boiler system designs, provide local support to customer complaints or systems malfunctions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of the sales process
    • Able to interpret drawings (building, plumbing, ventilation)
    • Technical knowledge of heating & ventilation and fluid mechanics (an asset)
    • Experience with building construction jobsites (an asset)

Travel Requirements: 75% travel throughout the US and Canada
