Job Summary

Grande Cheese Company is looking for a technically savvy foodie to fill the role of Technical Sales Support Lead. In this role you will work in both the field & office providing strong technical support through scientific-based demonstrations, applications for customer-focused projects, and sales tools to communicate the value of GCI ingredients to clients both nationally and internationally. You will work closely under the direction and guidance of Manager, Technical Applications, and support of the respective Technical Sales Manager working collaboratively to provide our customers with the best technical solution. We are looking for someone who is excited to take a customer problem head on and come up with a creative solution! This role will also give you the opportunity to travel to support sales and customer activities up to 50% of the time.

What you need to be considered for the role:

• Bachelors Degree in Food Science or related field required.
• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline and three (3) or more years of experience in food product development, preferably with dairy or functional ingredients, or ingredient application;
• Strong interpersonal, persuasive, negotiating and networking skills
• Effective writing, presentation, and communication skills
• Ability to understand and discuss technical product information with PhD, Masters, and other level food scientists
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Master's degree in Business Administration or Marketing, with internship experience in food product development, especially with dairy or functional ingredients, or ingredient application preferred.
