Technical Solution Architect in Business Automation

Introduction
At IBM Technical Solution Architects work to understand needs and then create complex high-quality solutions that make meaningful impact. You’ll be responsible for overall leadership and delivery of the solutions from requirement gathering through implementation. You’ll use your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The Business Automation Solution Engineer is the customer’s advisor and change agent to transform their business processes with Intelligent Automation leveraging IBM’s Business Automation and AI offerings. The candidate will review analyze and evaluate business processes business requirements and user needs. The candidate will independently formulate and architect efficient solutions that support overall business strategies eliminating bottlenecks or disruptions. The candidate will also be responsible for leading customer modernization workshops preparing presentations of supporting architectural solutions design approaches. The position includes being hands on to assist the customer in implementation of proposed solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Experience in Business Automation tooling including hands on experience with workflow rules processing document ingestion intelligent document processing tools and content and case management products
• Experience with implementing solution architectures from beginning to end overseeing activities and technical risks and ensuring the described solution is sound and consistent with best practices.
• Understanding of the Software Development life cycle process. Experience with software development methodology such as Waterfall Agile as well as CI/CD processes.
• Experience with cloud solutions (IaaS PaaS SaaS) and a practical understanding of containers and Kubernetes a must. Working knowledge of OpenShift.
• Experience and ability to lead and collaborate with senior client staff to workshop analyze modernize and optimize business processes. Must be comfortable collaborating with highly skilled IBM Experts and client teams to deliver and implement intelligent automation strategies including the design build test and deploy stages.
