Our Information Technology (IT) department is looking for a highly experienced, strategic, and results-oriented Technical Solutions Architect to play a highly functional role in providing leadership and expertise in development of standards, architecture governance, design patterns, and best practices globally.

You will operate in in a complex global enterprise software ecosystem with components like Salesforce, MuleSoft, Azure, Oracle e-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud, as well as Laboratory Information Systems comprised of a suite of technologies from AWS to Salesforce.

As a Technical Solutions Architect, you will be:

  • Designing, developing, configuring, and implementing solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform, supporting Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, Field Service Lightning (FSL), ServiceMax Asset 360, Experience Cloud, as well as with your good understanding in systems integrations, utilize middleware platforms such as Mulesoft.
  • Outlining ever evolving and optimized Solutions Portfolio governance, strategy, and services as required by business needs
  • Leading the strategies of Solution Architecture and providing oversight of design and coding guidelines, which are critical in delivering desired business outcomes while taking into consideration the end-user, processes, technology, and data (transactional and analytical) aspects in the organization.
  • Partnering closely, and working collaboratively architects, analysts, partners, and developers to drive scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions supporting world class marketing, sales and service organizations and leverage Hologic's Salesforce investment. As a team, you will create suggestions and recommendations aligning with IT investment strategy

Other duties & responsibilities you are signing up for:

  • Clearly and effectively define and document application architecture and design through visualizations, diagrams & flows.
  • Relaying design plans and summaries to technical management and executives
  • Ability to develop working Proof of Concepts with limited direction, while utilizing best practices and industry standards
  • Identifying software and hardware that the implementation plan requires and investigate new technology, methods, systems and services for scalable, secure, and reliable data distribution and management.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and business analysts during project initiation and gathering user requirements with focus on technical needs.
  • Create overall project plans and track progress
  • Find the right balance between configuration, custom development, and the AppExchange. Candidate should be very familiar with the out of the box declarative capabilities of Salesforce and their limitations.
  • Evaluate the major functional releases of Salesforce for suitability to the Hologic business processes
  • Review and ensure that the business/technical requirements are understood, translated to a design specification that is consistent with Industry and Hologic development standards, and perform code reviews and provide guidance on code development following Salesforce Best Practices.
  • Serve as a technical liaison and advise an organization's stakeholders about potential risks and challenges to help them value the importance of IT strategies
  • Communicating the progress of a project to managers and clients
  • Assist in the design and development of Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Apex and Visualforce components.
  • Hands on experience with DevOps (CI/CD) and code migration processes across multiple Salesforce orgs.
  • Create and maintain documented design and software development guidelines.
  • Oversee assigned programs (e.g. conduct code review) and provide guidance to team members
  • Thoughtfully provide and receive feedback during peer reviews of source code.
  • Assist with solving technical problems when they arise
  • Understand, communicate, and enforce the agreed company software architecture and infrastructure strategies
  • Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals
  • Coach and mentor software engineers, programmers, and other team members

What do we expect?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Architecture, or related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in software development, including diagraming and process engineering, and project management. Experience in performing within Healthcare industry environment is preferred.
  • Experience in project management, including estimating development effort and developing project plans and knowledge various implementation methodology such as Agile/Waterfall.
  • Certified Salesforce.com Platform App Builder/Advanced Developer must.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise systems and system integrations with the ability to see big-picture designs from basic specifications.
  • Ability to problem solve complex IT issues.
  • Experience and understanding of API connections (specifically web API and the salesforce.com open API) and familiarity with AppExchange.
  • Experience working with complex Integration patterns
  • Ability to manage time and workload on multiple projects/initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills. The ability to translate technical jargon into terms that business users can understand.
  • Familiarity with software version control systems such as Git and SVN
  • Experience working with business owners and stakeholders to develop and document business needs. Developing solid solutions to complex needs
  • 5+ years of experience working with software development teams (on-site and off-shore) supporting integrations and customizations in a complex, enterprise-level environment.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $124,000 to $206,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
