Job Description

As a Technical Solutions Architect, you will be the technical architect and advisor for our technical implementation and migration projects. This involves developing and overseeing the use of best practices and methodologies, as well as working with the individual project teams to review and advise on implementation and migration strategies and approaches and support the resolution of technical challenges.

The candidate should possess advanced technical knowledge of leading Content Management platforms, especially Veeva Vault, and should have work experience in the Life Sciences industry. The successful candidate will be confident working with business and IT groups in the Clinical, Regulatory or Quality business areas. The candidate will be the technical solutions architect for implementing and migrating Content Management solutions for a wide range of Life Science clients. The candidate will engage with clients and internal teams to review and advise on approaches, strategies, and best practices to support challenging project situations.

This role requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and the candidate must have the ability to converse with people at all levels within an organization. We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who will fit with our collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise - Maintain a deep and up-to-date understanding of the relevant technologies, tools, frameworks, and best practices, with a major focus on Veeva Vault.
  • Best Practices and Methodologies - Maintain and develop best practices and methodologies for the fme Life Sciences technology team and ensure that the team is aware of and trained on the different elements. Ensure that the best practices and methodologies are applied in active technology projects.
  • Technical Guidance - Provide technical expertise and guidance to the technical project teams, including but not limited to strategy, architecture and design decisions, code reviews, documentation practices, project execution standards and best practices.
  • Problem Solving - Act as a technical problem solver. When complex technical issues or challenges arise in technology projects, support to analyze the problem, propose solutions, and guide the team in implementing those solutions.
  • Communication - Act as a liaison between the technical project team and other stakeholders to support strategy and approach discussions, as well as during critical issue resolution situations.
  • Pre-sales Support - Support the sales team by providing technical expertise during the pre-sales phase by collaborating with sales representatives to understand client requirements and develop tailored approaches and solutions, estimates and provide input to proposals.
  • Continuous Improvement - Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices and identify areas of improvement in internal processes, tools, or implementation and migration practices as well as opportunities for continuous learning and professional development within the technical project team. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement across the technology team.
  • Technology Evaluation - Stay updated on emerging technologies and evaluate their relevance and potential benefits for the technology projects. Make informed recommendations about adopting new tools or approaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. A relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years' experience in the Life Sciences industry or consulting in Clinical, Regulatory or Quality business processes.
  • 5+ years' experience in implementing Content Management solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Life Sciences Content Management challenges in Regulatory/RIM, Quality and Clinical applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of the leading technology platforms used by Life Sciences companies, specifically Veeva Vault.
  • Knowledge of OpenText Documentum and/or Generis CARA beneficial.
  • Experience architecting, designing and troubleshooting Content Management implementations, migrations and applications.
  • Advanced experience with content migration processes and utilities.
  • Strong consultative skills.
  • Experience working with offshore resources and external providers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with client stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities, with a client-centric approach.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • A self-motivated and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving targets and driving client satisfaction.
  • Experience in working with Clients across International markets.
