Job Description

Role: Technical Solutions Architect - Workday Integration

Duration: 12 months (contract)

Location: Beaverton, OR (100% Remote)

Experience

Required 6+ years of experience with a programming language like java, node or python
5+ years Hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect (not presales) and the decision making and the trade-offs it entails
Deep understanding of software and composable architectural patterns and principles (examples being API, Streaming, LakeHouse Analytics, Event-Driven, etc.)
Experience with leading enterprise public cloud service providers especially AWS (preferably with but not limited to S3, Lambda, Dynamodb, SNS and SQS)
Experience with batch, Streaming (kafka) or API based integration
Experience working on solutions for a large Enterprise (preferably retail) in the Functional areas of HR, Finance or Retail Store
Experience working with COTS (SaaS and on prem) solutions as well as solutions built from scratch.
Strong influence management skills and ability to work cooperatively at all levels in a matrix environment.
Familiarity with development methodologies like Agile at Enterprise scale

Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, and Security by Design
Required Experience with Workforce Management solutions like Legion
Experience with Time and Attendance solutions (e.g. ADP, SDWorx, Kronos)
Preferred Experience working with or integrating to ERP (S/4 Fashion)
Nice to have Experience working with or integrating to Workday
Nice to have experience with Royalties Management solutions like Vistex and Forex Management solutions like Murex

Job Description

Design E2E (End to End) solutions by translating functional/non-functional requirements, building consensus, and supporting Engineering in delivery for the platform(s).
Build target state, transitional architectures and the evolution journey for the platform(s) you support
Lead technology selection, Proof of Concepts, RFPs, Build vs Buy decisions etc
Provide Architecture consulting services (e.g. Platform Maturity Assessment, Technology Risk Assessment)
Evangelize Global Technology Strategy within the teams you work with
Leverage and contribute to architecture guiding principles, development standards, and apply these on a per usecase basis
Guide and mentor technical leads to raise collective technical expertise and ways of working
Create artifacts and documentation with tools like Lucidchart and Confluence
Work independently with little to no oversight
