This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product development, and large-scale energy infrastructure, focused on advancing utility-scale battery energy storage systems. You will play a key part in shaping and validating power-side technologies such as inverters and medium-voltage equipment that enable high-performance BESS solutions. Working within a fast-evolving renewable energy environment, you will collaborate across engineering, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure technical excellence and system integration. The position combines deep technical analysis with strategic influence over product direction and supplier selection. You will contribute to defining solution architecture, improving system performance, and strengthening competitiveness in global energy markets. This is a high-impact role where technical expertise directly supports the acceleration of clean energy adoption.
Accountabilities
Serve as a key technical authority for power-side systems within utility-scale battery energy storage solutions, ensuring robust evaluation, integration, and optimization across projects:
- Lead technical assessment of inverters, power conversion systems, and medium-voltage transformer equipment for BESS applications.
- Support supplier qualification by reviewing technical proposals, benchmarking technologies, and recommending optimal vendors.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, procurement, and business development teams to define and refine system architecture.
- Translate technical requirements, customer needs, and market feedback into actionable product and roadmap inputs.
- Contribute to certification, compliance, and validation activities in alignment with grid and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and evaluation frameworks for internal and external alignment.
- Provide ongoing technical input during product integration, commercialization, and field performance optimization.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Power Electronics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in inverters, power conversion systems, energy storage, or related electrical infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of inverter technologies, medium-voltage equipment, and grid-connected energy systems.
- Experience in applications engineering, product development, commissioning, or technical solution design.
- Familiarity with grid compliance and standards such as UL, IEEE, IEC, or NFPA.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, commercial, and supplier teams in global environments.
