Position Summary

Buckman is looking for a highly organized Technical Specialist to effectively analyze samples and perform tests to surpass our customer's expectations while running a smooth day-to-day operation. This role will provide technical leadership and demonstrate effective project management to support Buckman growth while maintaining Health and Safety protocols and sustainability.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership, grow talent and cross-train
  • Demonstrate effective project management
  • Troubleshoot & resolve painting issues and problems by provide recommendations on issues related to product, application, inventory and general paint process to help the customer overcome situational problems and ultimately drive selling opportunities.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proper communication and solid data driven reporting
  • Work effectively with all R&D/ TS, CS, and Sales teams/departments
  • Make decisions in light of what is best for Buckman and customer
  • Ensure report quality meets/exceeds customer expectations
  • Ensure report turnaround time meets/exceeds customer expectations
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and prompt responses to customer inquiries
  • Support and grow innovative opportunities
  • Master formulator

Essential Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university

    Experience preferred in (Paint & Coating Industry along with Water treating) at least 5- 7 years
  • Proficient in formulation work and associated test methods is preferred
  • Ability to communicate well, strong in building teamwork, provide excellent customer service, financial acumen
