About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to respond and resolve user requests for desktop support.
Essential Functions
- Provide hardware and software desktop support to end users in a Microsoft Windows Desktop environment
- Respond to and resolve user requests for desktop support and provide liaison support to other bank support groups
- Handle second tier support requests related to desktops, laptops, printers and other related peripherals
- Provide remote support as well as hands-on troubleshooting of hardware and software-related issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required
- Working knowledge of technologies including: Desktop computer hardware, Windows Operating Systems, network printers, TCP/IP, email (Outlook/Exchange), Active Directory, Microsoft Office, virus protection, and software distribution solutions
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and projects
- Ability to install and remove equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Education & Experience
- Associate's degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 2+ years experience installing and supporting Windows desktop environments required
- Experience with IT Service Management Software (e.g. Remedy, ServiceNow, TopDesk, FrontRange, Assyst) required
- Appropriate professional certification, such as MSCE, MCP, A+, and Network+ preferred
