Technical Specialist (704247)

Seeking a technical specialist/developer to enhance the Iowa Rehabilitation Services System (IRSS) for case management. This project work will ensure compliance with federal and state security requirements and draw on industry best practices.

Ideal candidate is a Full stack developer with a strong security background. Preference for candidates with experience developing on security projects.

The project work will focus on security enhancements and other feature development for IRSS. Security enhancements will include integrating new identity access management solutions, enhancing encryption of data at rest and in transit, and ensure compliance with Federal Regulation regarding audit logging. This project is in the early discovery phase and the contractor will assist in development, along with requirements refinement. This project will require updating web applications, SQL databases, web forms, and other applications as needed.

IVRS IRSS development team consists of four developers, a project manager, and three analysts that represent different parts of the business. The contractor will augment the team as they complete business operations for federal compliance.

Skills:• Experience integrating Okta and providing support for updates to AD• Experience in integrating event logging and auditing for applications• Experience in protecting data in the database and in transit• Database programming; developing business application processes; writing complex T-SQL queries against SQL Server database• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications• T-SQL development including the views, stored procedures, functions and indexing techniques• Dynamic SQL stored procedure coding and troubleshooting• Designing and developing ETL routines using T-SQL & SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS);• Proven analytical problem solving and debugging skills• Developing data visualizations (Reporting Services (SSRS); SQL Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Execution Plans; Team foundation Server (TFS), SDLC, Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS), Visual Studio• Experience creating test data and thoroughly testing T-SQL Code• Ability to work under tight deadlines
