Technical Support Engineer

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new researchers and traders. You will provide technical support and setup, ensuring all new team members have the necessary tools and access to hit the ground running.

Your future role within QRT

• Provide technical support for researchers, setting up and maintaining Python, Linux, and AWS environments.
• Develop training notebooks in Python, ensuring code uniformity.
• Ensure best practices in the codebase across research teams.
• Offer on-site support to local teams and projects as needed.
• Collaborate with researchers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Continuously explore new technologies to enhance support processes.
• Facilitate clear communication between technical and non-technical team members.

Your present skillset

• Excellent knowledge of Python, Linux, AWS.
• Advocate for software engineering best practices.
• Adaptable pedagogical skills for varying coding levels among quants.
• Hands-on approach with solution demonstrations.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and proactive mindset.
• Strong written and oral communication, explaining complex issues to non-technical users.
• Independent and collaborative team worker.
• Willingness to travel globally for task force duties.
• Basic understanding of quantitative strategies and the financial sector is a plus.
• Passion for technology, demonstrated through personal projects or hobbies.
