This is a hybrid role with a flexible work onsite/from home schedule.

The Technical Support Specialist responsible for providing excellent technical support for Radiodetection Software and Hardware products via email and phone to users. The primary role is ensuring the customer has a successful experience.

About the Technical Support Specialist role:

  • Field calls from customers on technical support questions. These calls will include support requests for installation, in-field operation, and in-field breakdowns.
  • Respond to inquiries and call-back requests placed on the online ticket system.
  • Document interactions with customers; provide answers by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding customers through corrective steps.
  • Work with colleagues to troubleshoot problems in software, hardware, networks and systems; write up technical documentation that can be passed onto developers to repair defects and deliver enhancements.
  • Work with customers to improve software system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes.
  • Update your own job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networks.
  • May support North and South America and Asia/Pacific customers

Requirements of the Technical Support Specialist role:

  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and Windows environments
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (e.g. Zendesk)
  • Strong background working with and supporting software packages including SaaS offers
  • Experience working with and supporting mobile and web based applications
