Job Description

As a Technical System Analyst, you will contribute to the technical requirements and analysis for building enterprise applications. This can include smaller-scale projects and/or components of large-scale projects. You will be part of the full life cycle of systems enhancements. This will involve collaboration with offshore Guardian teams for software design and development. You will work with Business Analysts, Solution Architects and the development team to ensure requirements are captured and accurately reflect the business need. You will work collaboratively with other IT areas toward the common goal of delivering a quality product that meets the project timelines and business needs.

You Will:

  • Be a subject matter expert for understanding the operational architecture, process flow, data/line of business transactions, business, and system rules for their assigned area.
  • deliver integrated solutions and services to meet the business initiatives, product launches, process improvement, and other strategic objectives, by translating business requirements into technical system requirements, managing root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • support development team and is responsible to translate business requirements into technical requirements, work with the developers on the team to design and implement well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application systems.
  • Analyze and translate Business requirements into technical requirements which may include but not limited to:
  • System Process Flow
  • System Use Case
  • System UI Design
  • System Integration Design
  • Identify project tasks required to support a successful project implementation including performing impact analysis, verbally communicating complex issues, validating production readiness, and communicating implementation status.
  • Provides leadership in technical problem solving by applying insight derived from a highly developed skill and knowledge. Coordinates impacts and dependencies across application teams.
  • Effectively acts as the liaison between the business, testing, and development teams.
  • Participates in business process and requirement elicitation sessions to fully understand the business requirements and the data necessary to support those requirements to document technical system requirements.
  • Perform complex system/application and process analysis.
  • Participate in unit and integration testing if necessary.
  • Collaborate with Business Partners on how to best support their various needs through the effective use of technology.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and benchmarking the state-of-the-art practice.
  • Have knowledge in SQL, RESTful API, able to use postman, SoapUI or equivalent to analyze and understand APIs.
  • Ensure software is developed is in accordance with the proposed solution architecture and design.
  • Supporting installation of new or modified systems, providing post-implementation support.
  • Support & participate in SAFE ceremonies such as PI planning, retrospective etc.
  • Collaboration with offshore developers and offshore managers with requirement and analysis
  • Application issue resolution

You Have:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science is a plus.
  • 1-3 years' experience in system/technical analysis preferred.
  • Experience in the Life Insurance industry is a plus.
  • 10% travel to Guardian regional offices as required for business needs.
  • Working knowledge of MS project, MS Office Suite, and Visio or equivalent design tools.
  • Experience with Postman, SoapUI, SQL tool, JIRA, Jira align and confluence.
  • Experience in writing SQL queries, JIRA queries
  • Experience in system design is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile framework.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in debugging technical issues by looking at application logs along with in-depth debugging skills on different browsers.
  • Familiarity in AWS CloudWatch and Splunk
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset

Location & Travel:

  • Hybrid - 2 Days a week at a Guardian Office in Holmdel, NJ, New York, NY or Bethlehem, PA.

Salary Range

$91,260.00 - $149,925.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
