Technical Talent Acquisition Partner - McLean, VA (Contract)

The Appian Talent Acquisition team is passionate not only about all things recruitment, but ensuring we have first class experiences from a candidate's first interaction to supporting stakeholders in their hiring journey. We are responsible for end-to-end delivery - everything from creating interview processes, marketing our employment brand, to helping scale Appian’s Engineering organization. We love to partner with stakeholders and candidates, and have a blast while doing it.

This position is responsible for leading the hiring efforts tied to our Technical organizations. You’ll be responsible for hiring top technical talent for roles tied to our Engineering team. We care deeply about quality hires, candidate experience, and stakeholder partnerships.  

This role would start out as a 6-month contract, and will be based at Appian's Headquarters in McLean, VA. Anyone hired for this position will have the opportunity to work in a flexible, hybrid environment. We're targeting candidates who can reliably join us in office 3 days a week -- if you are not already located in the DC Metropolitan Area, your willingness to relocate will be a contingency for this position.

In this Role, you will:

• Identify, Source, and message the best of the best technical talent at all levels, for niche and evergreen roles. 
• Build effective partnerships with business stakeholders.  Shape outcomes with hiring based on data and market trends.   
• Own candidate lifecycle from start to finish, ensuring candidates experience a “white glove” level of service throughout their journey with Appian
• Think outside of the box and utilize creative marketing, sourcing strategies, and techniques to promote Appian as an employer of choice

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years experience full life cycle corporate recruiting for a software company or as an agency recruiter placing engineers for software company clients
• Experience recruiting for a software product or professional services company, specializing in Engineering, Consultants, or other technical roles
• Ability to thrive, and preference for dynamic, fast paced, and high growth environments
• Proven ability to build and implement successful, creative approaches to talent acquisition
• Proven success sourcing and hiring high level positions with niche skills sets
• 4-year degree required
