Technical Workforce Planning Manager

The Role
The Omni-Channel Operations Team manages the end-to-end experience throughout all functions of the Retail Experience. This team is equally focused on improving all Omni-Channel objectives in the field, holding focus groups or onboarding sessions as we look to rollout new initiatives and objectives across the organization by making data backed recommendations for improvement that translate into a greater cannabis customer experience.
We're looking for a proven leader and individual contributor to help grow and scale this teams' objectives while specifically assisting our Retail Field Operations team by developing complicated backend tools that will be crucial in driving all Technical Workforce Planning objectives that simplify the way in which Technical Tools are deployed to the Retail Field Teams.
Job Responsibilities
Technical Workforce Planning Manager Responsibilities:
Running multiple development actives and deployment activities (often on their own with limited direction) focused on creating WFP tools - IOWP (Integrated Operational Workforce Planning) by:

• Working with key regional business & function stakeholders throughout various regions and countries to define business requirements
• Working with an IT Development team on systems needs and integrations to translate user requirements into user stories, when applicable.
• Specifying requirements to our support teams as it relates to deployment activities
• Prepare recommendations / business cases for key improvements of the WFP suite of tools
• Identifies best practice methodology to deploy IOWP across regions
• Working with multiple stakeholders to interpret business requirements to assist in the development of scalable dashboards that link WFP tools
• Having technical knowledge of dashboard development to build various visualizations to explain complex WFP concepts and stories which complement WFP tools
• Understand data structures and database development to ensure data feeds into the dashboards are managed in a scalable manner to enable data sharing with other WFP and analytics projects further down the release pipeline

Knowledge of the application of WFP within Highly Complex Labor environments:

• Whilst not expected to be a retail expert within WFP operationally, a sound understanding of what WFP is and what it sets out to achieve within a fulfillment, highly regulated compliance industry environment is advantageous
• The ability to be seen as a credible subject matter expert when engaging with our function and business stakeholders to define requirements for WFP tool enhancements, often requiring the ability to discuss alternative ideas or methodologies
• The ability to confidently engage with senior members of the business, to develop effective working relationships and be seen as a credible business partner

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

• Application and adherence to People Data Governance and Data Privacy policies
• Cognizant in the use and application of local data privacy and information security.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex business problems, develop a logical/rational framework for investigating the problems
• Understand complex data structures, strong logic and analytical skills, including data analysis and problem solving
• Use of advanced SQL programming to manipulate and manage complex data structures
• Use of data visualization and reporting systems specifically Power BI
• Experience with predictive analytics and their business application would be preferable

Qualifications:

• Experience across a number of internal projects, focused on the development, improvement and deployment of similar products or tools and the end-to-end product lifecycle within a highly competitive and fiscally focused environment.
• Demonstrable knowledge of WFP application within Professional Services. While not essential, it would be extremely useful to have worked within WFP/Operational related product deployment programs within a Global or multi-location organization.
• Using relational database, including the development of SQL queries to extract and manage data, for use in creating dashboards, data visualizations, and homegrown models or analyses.
• Proven track record of working with a senior stakeholder population
• While not mandatory, knowledge of the application of Human Capital Analytics through HR data within workforce planning, and the use of predictive analytics through Data & Analytics would be desirable.
• Strong technical record, preferably a long-standing background within a technical domain (e.g., IT, math's, engineering, econometrics, science)

Additional Requirements

• Must pass all required background checks.
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry.
• Travel up to 30% may be required based on specific market needs
• Must be able to sit and stand frequently and in some business instances, lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must possess valid driver's license.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
