Technical Writer

The Role: 

We are looking for an outstanding writer with experience creating content for enterprise software targeted to professional and technical audiences. Your starting assignments will include writing world-class manuals and references for Aisera products and improving existing, internal written material. The work spans the entire writing cycle from requirements gathering to publication, sometimes on tight schedules, so you’ll exercise and stretch your project management and multi-tasking skills. You’ll work with an editor, an artist, and a lead writer, as well as subject experts and partners.

To shine in this role you’ll bring a love of accuracy and clear explanation, and excitement for the journey from zero to deep understanding on the topic you’re writing about. You continually hone and expand your interpersonal skills for identifying, building relationships with, and interviewing highly technical subject experts. This role is based out of our Palo Alto, CA office.

Responsibilities:

• Works closely with editorial, development, customer support, product management, and services to develop high-quality technical content.
• Drafts, maintains, and edits content for online delivery, release notes and release publications.
• Learns and tests product functionality while writing documentation.
• Learns and applies Aisera writing style using a minimalist approach and reviews UI text for consistent tone and style.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of four years’ technical writing experience supporting a software or data team, writing technical or scientific grant proposals.
• High-quality writing samples, including material for software development, product features, AI/ML concepts.
• Experience working directly with product managers and engineering.
• Working knowledge of AI fundamentals: design/analysis of experiments, and workflows for annotation, training, and testing, ITSM, CSM, AIOps
• Strong Domain knowledge - ServiceNow, Salesforce, Zendesk, Ticketing Systems, AIOps systems, AI/ML software.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Startup experience
• Enterprise SaaS experience
