Technical Writer 2

Join our industry leading and category creating Product Management team. We are shifting traditional thinking for product manufacturers, driving Propel’s innovative vision and leadership through product success in all phases of the development process. We are at the center of strategy and work closely with customers, partners and all other Propellerheads defining and executing our product roadmaps.

Job Core Duties:

Own the entire documentation process, developing and maintaining documentation best practices and procedures.

Gather, analyze and manage all documentation, including technical and product information in collaboration with product managers and technical staff. 

Organize material and complete writing assignments according to defined standards and to product release schedule timelinesDevelop, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation for our products, such as user guides, tutorials, API documentation, and online help content.

Ensure the knowledge base remains up-to-date with the latest features and enhancements.

Collaborate closely with customer-facing teams, iterate on documentation improvements for both customers and internal teams.

Produce user-friendly, visually captivating documentation that includes diagrams, screenshots, gifs, videos, and other visual aids

Job Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in a professional technical writer capacity at a SaaS company

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or related field

Excellent writing, editing and communication skills 

Familiarity using Jira, Confluence, Salesforce platform, Salesforce Knowledge Lightning Article Editor, and Salesforce’s style guideExperience creating documentation integrating graphics or video preferred

Knowledge of guided help tools for in-app user guides is a plus

Possess a comprehensive understanding of software development processes

Strong teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative and distributed working environment 

Experience managing multiple projects on deadline and publishing to a schedule This role will involve working on multiple priorities simultaneously

Experience using AI tools to optimize documentation proficiency is a plus!
