RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for Technical Writer to become a part of our superior workforce in the Washington, DC area. The Technical Writer will provide onsite and remote federal program assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support personnel to perform technical writing duties, including report drafting, data collection/organization, document coordination, and research for OMWI, especially the Supervision and Examination function
  • Support personnel to draft reports communicating examination conclusions about the regulated entities' degree of compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements as well as commentaries on key operational and management risk areas
  • Draft a variety of annual reports, responses to Congress, and responses to inquiries from the Government Accountability Office and Office of the Inspector General
  • Developing initial drafts of OMWI Reports of Exam, drafting regulatory responses, and gathering information to populate a variety of OMWI and FHFA reports
  • Support personnel is to serve as the central point of contact for coordinating all OMWI supervision and examination document edits and comments
  • Coordinate the document processing controls required under the FHFA Official Documents Policy as well as collaborate with OMWI examiners and other document owners at each point in the process
  • Prepare initial and revised drafts of the OMWI Annual Report to Congress and contribute to the development and production of OMWI's section of FHFA's Annual Report
  • Support personnel to prepare initial response drafts to Request for Information documents from members of Congress, other government officials, and officials from the private sector
  • Coordinate editorial meetings and incorporates stakeholder comments into the draft report process
  • Perform technical writing of reports concerning various matters including supervision, regulatory requirements, D&I, and procurement
  • Gather information to populate reports through a wide range of examination sources, interviews, database research, and other means
  • Analyze information gathered and writes and/or edit text for OMWI documents and reports
  • Ensure consistency of style and organization of examination reports, OMWI reports, and other technical documents and applies knowledge of Section 508 guidelines to written products
  • Assure the confidentiality of highly sensitive data/information throughout the course of the research, interviewing, and report drafting process


Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to obtain the required to obtain client issued Public Trust
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Professional experience in serving as a technical writer, or editor of publications of any kind
  • Writing knowledge of examination report, compliance, audit, congressional, and analytic
  • Experience writing for executive-level audiences and Federal government
  • Ability to assure the confidentiality of highly sensitive data/information throughout the research, interviewing, and report drafting process
  • Advanced computer and internet research skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)


EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in any field or law degree (preferred)
