Technical Writer

We are looking for a Technical Writer who has the unique ability to transform complex scientific data into prose. In this role, you will profoundly impact the way that Science’s work and vision translates to potential patients, regulatory bodies, and to the greater scientific community.  You will work closely with many teams to curate precise, high-value content for myriad purposes.  

Role responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross functional team members to deliver high quality, scientifically supported documents to support regulatory interactions and filings. 
• Review, interpret and conceptually organize key messaging of results from submission-supporting studies that support regulatory submission strategies. 
• Initiate and manage multiple rounds of document review and collaborating with team members to integrate revisions. 

Key qualifications:

• Degree in writing, engineering, or a science-based field.
• Ability to learn complex science and technologies relatively quickly and explain ideas and results in useful ways for the target audience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Excellent attention to detail. 

Preferred qualifications: 

• Experience in a related technical area.
• Experience with analyzing, consolidating, and summarizing data from multiple data sources effectively in writing to varying audiences. 
• Knowledge of US regulations related to medical devices, especially experience with the eCTD format.

Salary/Pay Range:

For individuals hired to work in California, Science is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.  We determine your level based on your interview performance and make an offer based on geo-located salary bands. The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $140,000 + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please keep in mind that the equity portion of the offer is not included in these numbers.
