Technical Writer

Global Science & Technology, Inc (GST), a growing scientific and high technology company, is seeking a Technical Writer in anticipation of the successful award of a contract supporting the NOAA SAE.

The candidate will serve as a Technical Writer for the GST Team supporting NOAA's Office of System Architecture & Engineering (SAE). This candidate will help curate technical documentation for audiences of different backgrounds.

This position is located in College Park, MD, but is approved for a 100% remote work schedule. Employees are expected to be available to work onsite via a hybrid schedule including a mix of several days a week onsite and the remaining workdays via telework.

Position Summary:• Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation that aligns with NOAA SAE project requirements.• Assess intended audiences and adjust technical terminology to ensure comprehension.• Translate complex scientific/technical information into easy-to-understand language.• Collaborate with subject matter experts and others to ensure accuracy of information.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:• Master's Degree in Technical Writing• Some science experience either academic or on the job training• The ability to work independently and remotely• Prior experience editing the work of others
