Technical Writer

Job Summary:
The Technical Writer develops high-quality documentation about our products and processes, so our customers understand how to configure, implement, and maintain them. The writer analyzes and translates technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences to make them understandable. The writer works closely with product management, engineering, and quality assurance to gather the necessary content. The writer works with these teams and follows internal processes to provide quality documentation for our customers. This position requires someone who is self-motivated and can work with remote teams.
Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Possess excellent writing skills; able to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Ensure that documentation deliverables meet release schedules
- Ability to effectively prioritize and communicate the impact of changing priorities
- Assist in forecast and budget development for future documentation needs
- Follow minimalism writing principles
- Understand product personas and journey maps to develop empathy with customers and other stakeholders
- Edit other writers' content and documentation for consistency.
- Understand, analyze, and interpret existing technical documentation
- Contribute to process improvement, style guidelines, and best practices and serve as an advocate for content standards
- Familiarity with a help development tool, Adobe RoboHelp (preferred)
