As a Technical Writer Senior Associate at Cognizant TriZetto, you will be responsible for designing, writing, and editing documentation to help customers understand and effectively use Cognizant TriZetto products. The documentation encompasses wiki topics, help topics, and videos, as well as traditional documents.

Job Title: Senior Associate - Technical Writer

Role: Individual Contributor

Essential Functions:

• Work with software engineers, quality assurance engineers, product management, and product/solution owners to determine information clients need to know about the product. The writer should be comfortable with both technical and non-technical (or business-related) aspects of the product.
• Write and edit documentation describing new product features for end users and/or technical users.
• Edit documentation describing defect fixes, based on a standard template.
• Conduct reviews with various stakeholders to ensure accuracy of content.
• Conduct peer reviews with the writing team to ensure consistency and quality of the documentation.
• Respond to client comments received through the Wiki or other avenues.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.

Required Experience:

A minimum of three years' experience writing and editing software documentation. Healthcare experience preferred.

Desired Experience:

• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Experience prioritizing multiple deliverables and deadlines.
• Experience supporting multiple teams.

• Comfortable with writing technical product documentation.

Technical Competencies:

• Experience using authoring tools such as Atlassian Confluence and standard word processing tools such as Microsoft Word.
• Experience with wikis and/or video editing software is preferred.
• Experience with the following is a plus:
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Help systems
  • OpenAPI documentation
