Det-Tronics and Autronica are two strong business units within Carrier's Industrial Fire Products and Solutions business. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write and edit material for instruction manuals, specification data sheets, product catalogs, and other technical publications, according to set style guides
• Perform document layout and desktop publishing
• Produce drawings, diagrams, and tables for illustrative purposes
• Work collaboratively with developers, approval engineers, product managers, and other subject matter experts
• Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by others, to ensure technical accuracy and adherence to brand standards
• Conduct interdepartmental document reviews
• Maintain literature on web site and customer portals

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, or Technical Writing
• Minimum of 3 years in a technical writing role
• Knowledge and experience with desktop publishing software including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders to influence others in a diverse and dynamic work environment
• Good communications skills, and open attitude for continuous improvement
• Strong attention to detail
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks to completion
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with project management skills
• Technical knowledge and a solid grasp of technical terminology
