The Opportunity 

Highnote is looking for our first Technical Writer to join our Developer Experience team and craft the voice of Highnote to our customers. This is an opportunity to be a part of building the Highnote content strategy from the ground up. This person will create content and documentation that all of our customers use while integrating and utilize once successfully launched.  You will work closely with our customers and partner closely with the Highnote Product Design and Product Management teams. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Writing external technical content for the Highnote Docs 
  • Partner closely with the Developer Experience team to enhance the customer integration experience 
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Management across the organization to understand features to continuously improve content
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Highnote product ecosystem and expert knowledge of the product and customers you support. 

What we are looking for:

  • Experience writing external customer-facing documentation, preferably for API’s
  • Experience working with a content management system (Hygraph, Contentful)
  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Sharp writing skills, and ability to accept and provide editorial feedback
  • Extremely detail-oriented, and excited to work with evolving customer and business needs

  • At Highnote we have built a total rewards philosophy that includes fair, equitable, geo-based compensation that is performance and potential based. Our compensation packages are competitive based on robust market research and are a combination of a cash salary, equity, and benefits. In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual salary range for applicants is $85,000-$135,000.

Please note that positions located in San Francisco are hybrid and include core working days of Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office.
