This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants the big picture but is also curious about how things actually work under the hood. You'll work with the Technical Documentation Team to plan and maintain a backlog of content deliverables, manage stakeholder expectations, and come up with innovative solutions to create documentation. You'll work with clients, architects, product owners, developers, and whomever else knows the material. You'll also have the opportunity to influence content strategy and contribute to internal communications at Cask.
What you'll be doing:
- Design, develop, and implement customized technical documents, such as knowledge articles, user manuals, job aids, guided tours, help documents, and tutorials
- Capture, edit, and manage screenshots to create clear, consistent images across all product documents
- Support team in collecting and interpreting technical data or information to assess needs, objectives, functions, features, and requirements
- Work cross-functionally with client stakeholders, software developers, and other team members throughout the content production process under the guidance of technical writers or manager
- Review and/or copyedit content developed by other team members
- Perform 508 Accessibility checks to comply with WCAG on all content created
- Coordinate for publication in print (e.g., PDF, PPT) and electronic (e.g., knowledge base) format
What you'll bring to the table:
- Exceptional writing skills with a strong voice and sharp eye for structure
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and to then translate them into easily understandable concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work in a fluid environment on multiple projects at once
- Self-motivated with the ability to carve out focused time to get work done independently
- Can dig deep into processes and troubleshoot issues independently with limited guidance
- Can be persistent and creative to get the information needed to get the job done
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written, that reflect strong critical thinking, analysis, and synthesis capabilities
- Strong editing skills and ability to focus on overall quality and the finer details
- Excellent people skills and ability to comfortably and professionally communicate with colleagues and external partners at all levels
- 1-3 years of work experience in a relevant or related field

Note: Base salary range is $63,000 to $73,000. This range represents the expected compensation for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range when taking into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
