CONTINGENT UPON AWARDING OF GOVERNMENT CONTRACT********

The Technical Writer advises management on and oversees the development and publication of security policies, standard operating procedures, documents, papers, and other information. The Technical Writer uses grammar references and agency communications policy.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The Technical Writer shall work with management to create policy documentation, guides, and manuals.
• Edits draft documents to ensure consistency within the document.
• Writes and/or edits documents, and policies.
• The Technical Writer shall prepare documents for printing.
• Maintains electronic files of document drafts and final versions.
• The Technical Writer ensures documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, content, format, and style.
• Responsible for collaborating with subject matter experts to create, edit, and revise materials.
• Perform other writing duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• The Technical Writer shall have advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Demonstrated formal editing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to various audiences.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Minimum/General Experience:

• Minimum of four (4) years, preferably six (6), years of demonstrated experience in technical writing, reviewing and/or editing of technical documentation in business, government, or industry.

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma
